Workflow schedules: run at different intervals by time of day

Last updated on Nov 06, 2026

Scheduled workflows can run on a schedule instead of one fixed interval. For example: every 5 minutes on weekdays between 08:00 and 18:00, every 15 minutes the rest of the time, and once a year on 1 January.

Set it up

  1. Open the workflow and click the trigger (When …).
  2. Choose Schedule, then Schedule rules under Schedule.
  3. Add your time rules. Each rule reads as a sentence, e.g. Run every 5 minute between 08:00 and 18:00 on Mon–Fri.
  4. Under The rest of the time, choose how often it runs outside your rules, or Don't run.
  5. Click Save.

Time rules

  • Minute / hour: runs every N minutes or hours inside a time span on the chosen days.
  • Day / week / month / year: runs once at a fixed time, e.g. every night at 02:00, the first weekday of the month at 07:00, or 1 January at 06:00.
  • If two time spans overlap, the first rule that matches is used. Use the arrow to move a rule up.
  • Templates add common rules in one click: Working hours, Every night, First weekday of the month, Yearly.

Runs are aligned to the clock (08:00, 08:05, 08:10 …) in the CRM's time zone.

Exceptions

  • Don't run on Danish public holidays skips those days.
  • Add date/period skips your own dates, e.g. 24–31 December.

Exceptions apply to the intervals. Fixed times (e.g. 1 January at 06:00) always run.

Check before saving

Next runs shows the next five runs and which rule each comes from. Advanced: show as RRULE shows the schedule in the standard calendar format.
